At the glamorous ceremony of “Toques d’Or” by Athinorama, which took place on Monday 13th of September, 23 of the finest restaurants in Greece were awarded with a ‘Golden Cap’, the epitome of gastronomic awards in the country.

Thessaloniki’s vibrant gastronomic scene has been highlighted with Salonica Restaurant, in Makedonia Palace, being the only restaurant in the city to hold this premium award.

Since it’s opening in 2017, Salonica Restaurant is a point of reference in the city’s gastronomic scene, suggesting flavours and a cuisine based on handpicked fresh products from all around Greece and the local region. The restaurant’s modern  lounge with the characteristic open kitchen offers a panoramic view of Thermaikos sea and Mount Olympus in the backdrop, while during summer the dinign scene is transferred to the elegant garden and terrace overlooking the seafront.
