The authentic taste of Lemnos comes to Thessaloniki!
Makedonia Palace Hotel and Executive Chef Sotiris Evangelou are hosting Lemnos Philema, a unique gastronomic event that will take you on a journey through the flavors and aromas of Lemnos.

On November 10th, 11th, and 12th, at the Salonica Restaurant, the stars of the show will be the products and wines of Lemnos. Cheeses, local legumes, flour, and seafood, along with wines and other unique products from the island, will inundate the hotel’s kitchen and be presented in dishes that chef Sotiris Evangelou and his team have designed with Lemnian cooks Maria Kalligeri and Michalitsa Kagi, incorporating the chef’s culinary principles and adding authenticity to the restaurant’s cuisine.

This initiative aims at gathering as much money as possible that will be used by the Hellenic Red Cross to provide relief to families that have been affected by the floods caused by Storm Daniel.

The flood victims of Thessaly need our solidarity, which is why Makedonia Palace Hotel is working closely with the Hellenic Red Cross in support of the relief efforts that are already underway in the region. The Hellenic Red Cross has been at the front line from the start and has been carrying out various actions trying to help the flood victims, and the contribution of Makedonia Palace Hotel will help alleviate the crisis that the region is facing.

During the ceremony of the Toques D’or Awards 2023 that were held by the Greek entertainment and cultural magazine Athinorama on Monday, 11 September, restaurants from all over Greece were awarded for their excellence. The finest restaurants in important tourist destinations, such as Thessaloniki, were once again recognised, making the Salonica Restaurant the only restaurant in Thessaloniki that was awarded a Toque D’or.

Salonica Restaurant offers a unique culinary experience that combines tradition and innovation. Makedonia Palace Hotel made a strong appearance this year at the leading and internationally renowned trade show IMEX Frankfurt that specialises in M.I.C.E. tourism.

IMEX Frankfurt is one of the leading trade shows for the tourism sector with more than 6,500 buyers and more than 22,000 participants from 142 countries.

The exhibition took place at Messe Frankfurt from 23 to 25 May and Makedonia Palace Hotel participated under the umbrella of Worldhotels with the aim of promoting not only the city of Thessaloniki in the sector of conference tourism but also the hotel itself as the only Worldhotel in Greece.

During the three days, executives of Makedonia Palace Hotel had more than 60 meetings and attended private events with buyers and companies from Europe and the USA.
